Republican/Libertarian Ron Paul had his best showing so far in Nevada yesterday by coming in second and out-pacing all but Romney who garnered 51% of the votes compared to Paul’s next best 14%. This added (estimated) 4 delegates to the nearly empty Paul coffer. Voter turn-out was not good. In a state where Republicans and Democrats are nearly equal in number, the Democrats out-voted the Republicans nearly 2 to 1 with only about 15% of the registered voters showing up. The internet furor of the Paul supporters has proven its existence with cold cash, but that has not yet translated into votes which is just as important if not more so. The caucuses and primaries do matter, folks. Your favorite candidate may not make it to the November ballot if you don’t register your vote now.
