The inalienable Rights of Men are: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. The Right of Life means that Man cannot be deprived of his life for the benefit of another man nor of any number of other men. The Right of Liberty means Man’s right to individual action, individual choice, individual initiative, and individual property. Without the right to private property no independent action is possible. The Right to the Pursuit of Happiness means man’s right to live for himself, to choose what constitutes his own private, personal, individual happiness, and to work for its achievement so long as he respects the same right in others. It means that Man cannot be forced to devote his life to the happiness of another man nor of any number of other men. It means that the collective cannot decide what is to be the purpose of a man’s existence nor prescribe his choice of happiness.

In a sense we’ve come to our nation’s capital to cash a check. When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, (Yeah) they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. Republican/Libertarian Ron Paul had his best showing so far in Nevada yesterday by coming in second and out-pacing all but Romney who garnered 51% of the votes compared to Paul’s next best 14%. This added (estimated) 4 delegates to the nearly empty Paul coffer. Voter turn-out was not good. In a state where Republicans and Democrats are nearly equal in number, the Democrats out-voted the Republicans nearly 2 to 1 with only about 15% of the registered voters showing up. The internet furor of the Paul supporters has proven its existence with cold cash, but that has not yet translated into votes which is just as important if not more so. The caucuses and primaries do matter, folks. Your favorite candidate may not make it to the November ballot if you don’t register your vote now.
